FAMILY

Syed Hussain was born and raised in Chicago and its suburbs. After also living in Indianapolis, he returned and chose DuPage County to raise his family because of its values: strong public schools, premiere location, diverse amenities, and vibrant neighborhoods.  Giving back is core to the family; Syed's wife serves on Wheaton's Commission on Aging, volunteers with local non-profits and helps a nearby school.

Syed's drive to create positive change has inspired his oldest son to become an Eagle Scout and win Wheaton's Sustainability Award while at Glenbard West, and explored horticulture at College of DuPage. His daughter received Hadley Jr. High's Good Citizen Award - and also the City's award 3 years later, and intends to help others through a role in therapy.  Syed's younger son is a black belt who gives back by teaching youth karate, while a junior at West.  The family enjoys serving together at the Islamic Center of Wheaton, Glen Ellyn's Sudanese American Charity, the regional Chi-Care (feeding the unhoused) umbrella, supports Wheaton Drama and cherishes local arts and attending live events.
