Priorities

As a DuPage County Board member, I will champion Unity among diverse voices, ensure fiscal stability for sustainable Growth, and enhance Public Services for all residents. These aren’t just tidy campaign catchphrases…they are achievable priorities. Scroll down to see how I envision putting these priorities into practice

Unity
Promote common sense collaboration and shared values

Working together for a better DuPage means gathering diverse voices from DuPage County residents, businesses, and community leaders. Fostering an environment of creative collaboration and cross-cultural understanding will lead to cooperation and the most effective use of our shared infrastructure and resources.Recent election cycles and events have resulted in deep rifts, but we are neighbors first and want a thriving county. We can–and must–support each other and identify new and innovative ways for the County to serve residents. I've spent over two decades helping companies and non-profits find solutions to some of their biggest challenges. I will bring new ideas and innovative approaches for good governance, while keeping constituents at the center of decisions.
Growth
Drive high-impact, fiscally responsible decisions

Fiscal stability and responsibility lead to growth opportunities and development. I want us to transparently balance the budget while building our infrastructure with DuPage County’s future in mind. I plan to partner with surrounding communities, units that levy properties, and other governmental entities to best serve our County’s residents. Identifying creative solutions with mutual benefit motivates these varied organizations to work together and define new ways to support growth that will activate trust, goodwill, and mutual benefit for the community - from children to businesses.
Service
Advance scalable, high-quality services for all residents

Enhancing services for our seniors, our families, and all DuPage residents is central to good governance. Modern, maintained facilities and updated resources improve our ability to deliver quality services. Decision makers and responders are empowered to innovate and effectively respond to needs. In addition, improving communication with residents fosters a deeper understanding for mutual benefit. As a product strategist, I've repeatedly kept customers' voices at the forefront. Listening to their ideas and acknowledging their pain points is vital to clear communication. With that knowledge, one can communicate clearly, concisely, and define value. Residents will benefit from my data-driven approach to our service offerings and my focus on consistency, scalability, and responsibility.
PRIORITIES IN PRACTICE
So, what does unity, growth and service look like at the County level? If we joined together, we could realize a closer-knit, highly engaged community. For instance, I propose to:
1. Expand a Garden-to-Home initiative: Approximately 8.4% of DuPage County residents are food insecure, as cited by Impact DuPage and Feeding America. 15,108 children (7.4% of children) in DuPage County were living in poverty.
Let’s build ties by directly and sustainably connecting community gardeners and home gardeners to vulnerable families around the corner, funneling fresh produce through a partnership network of township and local pantries. No family in DuPage should go hungry.
2. Create NeighborCare Teams: There is an epidemic of loneliness in our communities. Let’s buddy up to bring neighbors together for conversation and engagement, to genuinely enrich all residents' lives, especially our Seniors. County microgrants could enable being a helpful neighbor with tasks big and small that also fill our emotional cups.
3. Growth from Innovation: Let’s streamline steps to help DuPage businesses and attract more customers by expediting licenses & permits, using AI wisely to increase resources and data, and promoting collaboration, communication, and shared infrastructure. Thriving DuPage businesses benefit all of us, creating more jobs and better opportunities for a vibrant future.
Will you join my campaign to help make these goals a reality? Your involvement and energy are crucial to electing me as your District 4 member of the DuPage County Board. Together, we can restore a sense of community, belonging, and kinship across DuPage County. It is what I have committed to by running for election. Early Voting starts February 5th.
